ACTIVITIES

Treatments -Relax, practice and refresh

 To support you in your relaxation, we offer various treatments and activities. These are provided by Dionne Hughes, who has over 20 years of experience in yoga and her treatments, or Jens de Roock, diplomated personal trainer and fitness instructor.

∴ Swedish Full Body Massage – Dionne. De-stresses, relaxes and stimulates circulation.

∴ InnerThrive Massage, legs/shoulders/back – Jens. Stimulates the blood circulation and disposal of body waste. For sore muscles, but also perfect for muscles that yet have to perform.

∴ Andullation massage – Jens. Mechanical vibrations and (infra)red light stimulate cells make for pain relief and relaxation.

∴ Facial treatment – Dionne. Deeply cleansing, gently exfoliating (non-abrasive), and hydrating facial treatment with neroli oil. Includes gentle massage of hands, arms, shoulders and face.

∴ Reflexology – Dionne. Balances en vitalises. Through reflex points on the feet corresponding areas in the body are revitalised and cleared of imbalances.

∴ Hopi Ear Candle (Thermo auricular therapy)- Dionne. Supports the condition of the ears, throat and nose, and therefore stimulates the wellbeing of the respiratory passages and forehead.

∴ Yoga Balance – Dionne. Breath, focus and muscle condition.

∴ Spinning Class – Jens Intensive and explosive –physical condition and muscle strength. (Monday-Friday 19:00h)

∴ Fitness – Jens Fitness at the Velosol gym in Alcalalí. (Monday-Friday 08:00-21:30h; Saturday 08:00-13:30h)

Just a short drive from the Castell, one finds plenty of courses and enough options to play a different golf course every day during your stay at our hotel. Walks and hikes

Whether you like wandering around local villages, walking through the valley or hiking mountain trails, The Jálon valley, Sierra de Bernia and surrounding natural atmosphere are suited to do so and spend either one hour or one day. From the Castell, you can easily walk up the hill or into Alcalalí, or walk through the valley to the neighbouring village Jálon, after which the valley was named. For those enthousiasts, there is a beautiful four hour trail that takes you from the Sierra de Bernia to Altea la Vieja, taking you over mountain passes and through tunnels and offering imposing sights. Grab your compass, pick a map or follow the signposted routes and enjoy.

Mountainbiking and cycle racing

The area is well known for cycling. Although you won’t find designated bicycle paths, cyclists are frequently seen on B and C roads. Coll de Rates, on the opposite of the Castell, and its trails and steep roads are famous thanks to the professional cyclists that visit the region each year. As is the case for hikers, there is clear signposting, and we have several bikes available at the hotel.
